Sacramento Area Bicycle Advocates (SABA) is a non-profit organization whose mission is to represent cyclists and whose aim is more and safer trips by bike. SABA works to increase public awareness of cycling, encourage people to bike, and improve conditions for cyclists. SABA informs government agencies and the public about the many environmental, public health, cost and other benefits of cycling. SABA educates bicyclists and motorists about bicycle safety. SABA is an award-winning organization, having received Clean Air Awards from the American Lung Association--Sacramento Emigrant Trails, a Civic Contribution Award from the League of Women Voters, and awards from the Sacramento Area Council of Governments and the California Transportation Foundation.
